My Vans Customs

My love for Vans is no secret. The closet in our guest bedroom is littered with my Vans shoes from over the years. It’s literally all I wear. My wife comments that I have too many. I think I’d like to have a few more pairs to add to the stable. My go-to has always been the Authentic style. It’s long been a top seller for good reasons and continues to be one of Van’s most popular styles.

This style is the reason why I started my recent Vans Customs journey. As you know, I work for Super73 electric motorbikes. The 73 smiley face has long been my favorite design since our Art Director created it. We made many stickers and even put the design on our work van currently being wrapped by our friends at Daley Visual Graphics. So, I decided to incorporate it in my custom shoe.

The process was simple. Head to their Customs website to get started. I love that Vans has the capability to customize their product to make it your own. The same goes for the Super73 Community. It’s awesome to see what the Super Squad does to their bikes. It’s a rolling piece of art that starts out as a blank canvas.

Let’s get back to the Customs shoe. I chose my style, Authentic. Then you get presented with some style options. I went with uploading my own Authentic which gives you the option to upload your favorite art to create a one-of-a-kind design. Agree to the Terms & Conditions and then you’ll be prompted to upload your art. Continue to customize after showing a preview to be sent to a screen with your shoe and dozens of options. You can change the color/pattern of the toe, quarters, binding, tongue, eyelets, and much more. I stuck with the 74 smiley face and chose Pop Art. I really gave the design a fun vibe. You are able to nudge the design around to make sure it fits in the panel. When you’re happy with the preview, head up to the BUY button to continue the process and chose your size and quantity. Add to cart and proceed to checkout.

I purchased my Vans Custom just before the holidays and it stated available 3-4 weeks. I received it via FedEx in a few weeks and was notified by FedEx every step of the way. I highly recommend checking out the Vans Customs program. The whole process was super easy and fun. It came in a box and within the box was a shoe bag reading “Customade for YOU” with blue and white stripes. As well as a note from Steve Van Doren welcoming you to the Vans Family. A nice touch by Vans.

All-in-all I’m very happy with the way the Customs shoe came out. Well worth the wait.

As THANK YOU to my readers, I’m adding a Vans discount code ff22-MXDC-ZDW6-L4 good for 40% off until 3/31/23. This is a one-time use code. If it doesn’t work, it’s been used. I hope this helps you start your Vans Customs journey.
