I just got my Super73, now what?

I’ll start off by wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah! This year has been filled with uncertainty and being with loved ones might be a bit harder from years past. Hope everyone is safe and healthy this holiday season.

So, you bought yourself or were gifted a Super73 Electric Motorbike. Welcome to the Super Squad! Whether you picked up a neighborhood explorer like the Z1 or the adventure trail model RX, the community welcomes all.

Super73 recommends you to register your bike. This can be found on the Registration Product page. Here is where you’ll be able to validate the warranty. It’s also recommended to keep the original receipt as you may need it later. Once you get this done, you’ll have the peace of mind that your bike is registered.

You have waited just weeks or maybe longer to get your model and now it’s in your living room or garage. I know what your thinking…”I can’t wait to just break open this box and get riding”. Pump the brakes just a tad. There are a few steps that need to happen to ensure that you’ll be up and riding in no time. Head over to the Support Page and find your model. There you’ll be able to register your bike and review the digital handbook of your specific model. An assembly video is also provided for you visual learners.

Depending on which model, you might have a different box from others. Some you’ll be able to open from the top which two people are recommended to help lift up the bike. Others will have tabs at the bottom of the box which you’ll need to remove. Once the box is removed and the bike is visible, you can stand back in awe and marvel at its beauty. Ok ok, let’s back to the program here. The bike is about 90% assembled right out of the box. How convenient. You’ll find pedals, hardware, charger, and tool kit needed for assembly. Carefully put these items aside for now and start removing the protective packaging from the bike.

Let’s get to the handlebars. You’ll need a 5mm allen wrench to remove the hardware and clamp to attach your handlebars. This step will take just minutes but make sure the handlebars are facing the correct way. You can hand tight the hardware and adjust it for your comfort level.

Onto the pedals. You’ll see L and R on the threaded part of the pedals for the corresponding left and right sides of the bike. Next, it’s recommended to add some anti-seize or bike grease lubricant on the threaded part. Then use the 15mm wrench to tighten each pedal. Left is clockwise and right is counterclockwise.

We’re in the home stretch now. Check your tires to the recommended PSI which is listed on the sidewall of each tire. Riding conditions may vary like terrain. For example, you’ll want to reduce tire pressure which will provide more traction and make it easier to maneuver across sand.

Let’s charge that battery. You can either leave the battery on the bike or it can be removed (Z1 battery is under the seat) to be closer to an outlet. Plug the charger into a wall outlet and to the battery charging port. Then you should turn on your battery and see the color red on your charging unit that will note that it’s charging. Once green, your battery is charged. It’s recommended to charge the battery 6-8 hours before your maiden voyage. Yes yes, that’s a long time to wait but it’ll help top off the lithium-ion cells for optimal performance. There are fast chargers out there but It’s not recommended for regular use as it will degrade the battery cells over time.
