Taking Care of Your SUPER73 in the Winter

We’re lucky out here in Southern California where we’re able to ride 365 days out of the year. Well, it is a leap year so actually 366 days 😎 sorry, not trying to rub it in. For those of you in cold weather climates, riding in chilly conditions can be a hassle. Let’s run through some tips to keep your SUPER73 running in tip-top shape this winter.

Battery Life
Range anxiety is even more true during cold weather. The cold temperatures can reduce your battery’s performance. Best to store your battery indoors like in your house or garage. Room temp would be ideal.

It is also recommended to keep your battery charged to 30% or higher if stowed away for the winter. You don’t want to run into your battery going into a deep discharge. If you fully discharge a battery, it reduces its ability to hold a charge.

Bike Care
Clean your bike. I know it’s not the most exciting thing to do after a long ride in the snow, but you’ll thank me. Take the time to wipe off any road debris from your frame and components. Make sure to focus on your chain and gears. Bike lubricant will help prevent damage from the road conditions.

Winter riding on your SUPER73 can be a thrilling experience, take the right precautions, and you’ll be set up to enjoy your favorite activity year-round.
